Matt Sedo (BA)

Mr. Sedo holds a B.A. in philosophy and diplomas in Acupuncture and Shiatsu therapy. He has taught English in Japan for two years and in Toronto for five. Matt’s classes are energetic, fun and Communicative. Matt's students not only learn English comprehensively, but also have a great experience doing it! He also does monthly Yoga classes at C.C.B.E. Matt specializes in Pronunciation and Conversation techniques and is presently teaching E.S.L. at C.C.B.E. matt@ccbecanada.com

Marko Mlakar

"Marko Mlakar comes to us with an extensive background in Information Technology. He also owned and operated his own Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic, treating his patients using acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Marko has been teaching ESL and Business English in Toronto for the past two years. Prior to that, he lived in Slovenia, Europe (he carries dual citizenship - Canadian and Slovenian), where he taught EFL, did voiceovers for a multimedia software company, and was a freelance proof reader.  He currently teaches Business English at C.C.B.E."


 

Mike Krysa (BA Hons., B.Ed., TESOL)

Mr. Krysa has been teaching English as a Second Language for 4 years, most recently in
Vancouver and Japan. He enjoys creating a positive and fun classroom atmosphere where
all students speak, make mistakes, and learn. Currently teaching E.S.L. at CCBE, Mike
enjoys challenging and motivating his students to continually improve their English abilities.



Jeff Brown (BA, MA, PhD)

A native of St. Catherines, Ontario, Mr. Brown holds philosophy degrees from Brock University (BA) and Simon Fraser University (MA).  After teaching E.S.L. in Japan for two years and Korea for one year, he returned to Ontario where he completed his Doctorate in philosophy at the University of Waterloo.  He has been teaching for over ten years and currently teaches E.S.L. at C.C.B.E. and philosophy at the University of Waterloo.

 

Daniel Grummon

Originally, Daniel Grummon hails from the state of Kansas where he received his degree in Education at Ottawa University and then did his graduate studies in English as a Second Language at Wichita State University.  After five years of public school teaching, he was recruited to teach at a private school for international students (Seoul Foreign School).  Last year he taught in an English academy in Seoul before immigrating to Toronto. He is very pleased to join the faculty of CCBE to teach E.S.L. where his specialty is teaching writing.  

 

 

 

 

Kimberly Lawrence (B.A. in Psych., B Ed., TESL) 

Miss Lawrence has been teaching ESL, Business English, and Public School in the Toronto area since 1997.  She grew up in Northern Ontario, and completed her graduate Bachelor of Education degree in 1996.  She then went to teach for a year in Chonju, Korea. ).  Miss Lawrence has experience as a manager and director in the fields of Hospitality and ESL Education. Kimberly is a very enthusiastic teacher whose classes are fun, interesting, and useful.  She is also a talented artist, and designs and makes jewelry as well.  Miss Lawrence has taught all aspects and levels of ESL, as well as TESL, and TEYL (Teaching English as a Second Language to Young Learners) and currently teaches E.S.L. at C.C.B.E.
